What the service is
Two things, and they are worth separating.
- Queue position, free to anyone. You give a priority date; we report how many employment-based applicants sit ahead of it, using the pending-applications inventory USCIS publishes every month. That is US federal government data in the public domain, and reporting it is not a service we charge for. Members can additionally ask to be emailed when a new monthly release moves that position, and can see how it has moved across the releases we have archived.
- Appointment monitoring, for members. A browser extension you install watches the US visa appointment portal for openings and tells you when it finds one. Members also receive sightings from other members' browsers.
No date is ever predicted. We do not estimate when your priority date will become current, and we will not, because the published data does not support it — in the four releases archived so far the queue moved backwards in one of the three measured months. Anyone selling you a year from this data is fitting a line to noise.
What it is not
- It is not an appointment. Appointments exist only when the consulate releases them. No amount of monitoring creates availability, and nothing here can promise you a slot, a date, or a date by a particular time.
- It is not affiliated with the US government, any consulate, or the operator of usvisascheduling.com.
- It is not immigration advice and we are not attorneys. Where we report what USCIS or the State Department has published — including which filing chart they say applies in a given month — we are quoting them, with a link to the source, not advising you about your own case. Which chart governs your filing, and whether you are eligible to file, are questions for a licensed immigration attorney.
Payment
- Monthly is $3.99. Three months is $9.99. Six months is $17.99. Prices are in US dollars.
- All payments are final. There are no refunds — including for unused time, and including if no slots appear during your period.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access to the end of the period already paid for. You are not charged again after that.
- Payment is processed by Square. Card details are entered into Square's own form and are never received or stored by this service.
- If a payment is reversed by your bank, access ends at that point.
What happens to your data
- Your visa portal login stays in your own browser unless you explicitly opt in to the encrypted backup. Only the location, the number of available days and the first available date are shared with the group.
- If you do opt in to credential backup: each record is encrypted with its own key, no readable password is stored, and your password is only ever returned to your own browser — never to the operator or another member. You can delete it at any time, and deletion is permanent.
- Your email address is used for verification codes and to prevent duplicate accounts.
- If you ask to be alerted about a priority date, we store that date — the category, month and year you typed — against your account, so the monthly sweep can recompute your position. It is not shared with anyone, it is not used to build a profile, and deleting the watch removes it. Alerts go only to the address already verified on your account; you cannot have them sent somewhere else.
- If you subscribe, your email address is also given to Square, our payment processor. Square requires it in order to send you subscription invoices and renewal notices — it will not create a subscription without one. Nothing else about you is sent to Square: not your visa details, not your appointment searches, not your portal login.
- Your password for this site is stored only as a salted scrypt hash.
- Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers.
- An activity log is kept for 30 days. It records what your account and your extension did — signing in, checking locations, an opening being sighted, a payment, and every failure — so the operator can see what is broken and fix it. It holds event names, timestamps and the VAC name; it does not hold your portal password, your security answers, any session cookie, or the contents of any page. Entries older than 30 days are deleted automatically, and everything is deleted with your account.
- Ask and your account and all associated data will be deleted — including the activity log above.
What the extension can do, and why
Chrome shows a warning listing everything an extension is allowed to touch. That list is intentionally blunt, so here is what each item is actually for. The extension asks for nothing that is not used — if a permission stops being needed, it is removed.
- Read and change data on the visa scheduling site and its sign-in page. This is the whole function: reading the page to see whether appointments are listed, and filling the sign-in form when you have asked it to. It has no access to any other website.
- Storage. Your settings and, if you opt in, your portal login — kept in your own browser.
- Notifications. How you are told an opening was found.
- Alarms. Schedules the periodic check. Without it the extension could only look while you were watching it.
- Tabs and scripting. Opens and drives the scheduling site in a tab. The check happens in a real browser tab on your own session, which is why it sees what you would see.
- ntfy.sh and usvisaslots.online. The two places sightings are exchanged: the notification relay and this site's API.
Permissions this extension deliberately does not ask for: no access to your other tabs or browsing history, no proxy or network interception, no reading of any other site, and no remotely delivered code — everything it runs ships inside the extension and is visible to anyone who unpacks it.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for your own use of the visa portal and for complying with its terms. Using automated tools may be against those terms; that is your decision to make.
- Automatic booking is off by default. If you turn it on, you are responsible for the appointment it books within the date range you set.
- Do not share your account. Each member's browser is what makes the group work.
Liability
This service is provided as-is, with no warranty. It cannot be liable for a missed appointment, a slot taken by someone else, a booking made within your configured date range, a consular decision, travel costs, or visa fees. If you disagree with that, do not use it.
